Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Marinara sauce, for dipping (optional)
Instructions
Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add Cheese: Add the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan to the dry ingredients, mixing until the cheeses are well-coated.
Prepare Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk.
Combine and Form Bites: Pour the egg mixture into the bowl with the cheese mixture, stirring until everything is just combined. The mixture should be sticky and hold together. Scoop out small amounts (about 1 tablespoon) and roll them into balls.
Bake: Place the cheese balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
